Obama Presses for Action on the Economy

Last Thursday, President-elect Barack Obama expressed principles that apply to his economic views and the overall state of the economy.

The President-elect said in a speech at George Mason University that, "we start 2009 in the midst of a crisis unlike any we have seen in our lifetime."

However, Mr. Obama also indicated that the country can still change course if we take dramatic action as soon as possible.

In his speech, President-elect Obama stated, "our workers are still more productive than any on Earth. Our universities are still the envy of the world. We are still home to the most brilliant minds, the most creative entrepreneurs, and the most advanced technology and innovation that history has ever known. And we are still the nation that has overcome great fears and improbable odds."
