Update from the Lehman SIPC Trustee

The Lehman Brothers Inc. SIPC Trustee issued an update on its progress in the liquidation of the firm. To date, the Trustee transferred over 130,000 client accounts containing an estimated $140 billion in property. From January 2009, the Trustee received 80,000 claims on behalf of customers and creditors with many thousands more expected. $1 billion of property has been distributed in the claims process.
