AMD Webpage on Information on DTCC Warehouse

The members of the Asset Managers Division are pleased to announce the creation of a webpage dedicated to providing information on the development of the DTCC Trade Information Warehouse. The AMD, together with MFA, represent the buy side at the Senior Oversight Group, which is overseeing the development of the DTCC Swaps Warehouse. This webpage is designed to serve a resource for the buy side and to provide updates on the progress of the Warehouse.

Upcoming AMD Executive Committee Meeting 10/18

The Asset Managers Division will host its fifth Executive Committee Meeting October 18, 2006 at the New York offices of The Bond Market Association. Details concerning this meeting are forthcoming. Other Executive Committee meetings have included: November 8, 2005 (in Washington D.C.); March 2, 2006 (in Boston, MA); May 18, 2006 (in New York City, NY) and July 26 & 27 (in La Jolla, CA).

September 25 - AMF/GFMI Fixed Income Level 1 (sold out)

GFMI (Global Financial Markets Institute) and AMF have joined forces to offer securities industry professionals a series of Training Classes, beginning on September 25th with Fixed Income Level 1. Currently, this course is filled to capacity, but please contact Debbie Devine at 646.637.9289 to be added to the waiting list.


October 4 - Corporate Actions Lunch and Learn

At this Lunch and Learn the Asset Managers Forum Corporate Actions Committee shares proposed best practices for processing corporate actions. These best practices aim to reduce the risks associated with corporate actions processing by recommending industry-wide best practices that asset managers and custodians and other industry participants may implement in their organizations. This event is being sponsored by SimCorp.

October 12 - Workshop on Fails Management and Resolution

October 13 - AMF Quarterly Meeting

The AMF will host it Quarterly Business meeting for members. At this meeting, attendees will get an update on the SIA/TBMA merger; you will hear from the AMF Corporate Actions Committee on the best proposed practice recommendations relating to corporate actions processing, the AMF STP Committee on the efforts to improve the practices surrounding communication and maintenance of the Standing Settlement Instruction (SSI) data. There will be two break-out sessions to choose from: Swaps Committee meeting some topics will include custodian subcommittee, AMF/ISITC Working Groups, and update on the DTCC Trade Warehouse. At this Quarterly Meeting we will launch a BCP Focus Group for asset managers; topics will include "what information do asset managers need during an emergency situation and "BCP Testing for the buyside".

October 14 - BCP Test

The industry will conduct a business continuity test that is designed to test connectivity between and among back-up facilities. This test will verify that firms, markets, utilities, ATSs, electronic brokers and clearing banks are able to operate and communicate through an emergency using back-up sites, recovery facilities and back-up communications.
