AMF Committees to Meet During Quarterly Meeting

On October 28, 2004, the AMF Swaps, Accounting Policy, Pricing and STP Committees will meet in a business session to discuss industry issues that could affect the business of asset management firms. These Committees will report back to the membership on relevant topics and the Committees' plans to address these issues going into 2005. AMF leaders will also give reports on important AMF initiatives, specifically the Swaps Committee's Best Practices Initiative and the Accounting Policy Committee's response to EITF 03-1.


Among other topics, the AMF Quarterly Meeting will address certain implications of Sarbanes-Oxley and discuss how senior executives of buyside firms might use the advocacy resources of The Bond Market Association.

November 4 AMF COO Senior Executive Group Meeting

On November 4, 2004 the AMF COO Senior Executive Group will meet again in Boston for a post Presidential Election update by the Washington Office of The Bond Market Association as well as an update on SAS 70 challenges and how the industry might be able to compile helpful suggestions regarding this matter. The Group will continue to work with The Bond Market Association in discussing regulatory and legislative issues that are being proposed and that would require an industry-wide response.


The COO Senior Executives Group anticipates meeting with other senior executives in the New York region and on the West Coast. More details regarding these meetings will be forthcoming.
