Avian Flu Preparedness Meeting

The Business Continuity Management Council of The Bond Market Association has developed a Web page to raise awareness regarding the threat of avian flu to the fixed-income securities markets.

Members of The Bond Market Association want to share best practices for global bond departments regarding preparations for a potential pandemic. In addition to posting important information to the Web page, the Association will provide educational events where its members can be informed on the status of the threat. Accordingly, the Association has organized a meeting of Avian Flu decision-makers from member firms to discuss the possibility of a threat and brainstorm on what can be done to increase industry-wide preparedness. Please contact Douglas Taggart of The Bond Market Association staff at 646.637.9273 to engage your firm in this initiative.
