Sharon Rowlands, CEO of Thomson Financial, Addresses TBMA

At The Bond Market Association's 10th Annual Fixed-Income Summit & Expo on Technology and Electronic Trading on December 7th, Sharon Rowlands, CEO of Thomson Financial discussed the need for the industry to partner on developing technology solutions in light of the changing dynamic of the market place. As Ms. Rowlands explained, the growth of derivatives has expedited the converging of asset classes and the buyside is seeking greater interoperability to support this movement toward multi-asset class management. As industry needs continue to evolve, there will be an increasing demand for "one-stop trading" and enhanced STP solutions. Therefore, the industry needs to partner in anticipation of this growth.
