The Swaps Committee was formed to pursue automation opportunities related to the processing of swaps transactions. This Committee consists of asset managers, broker dealers, and custodian banks.

May 10, 2006 — Guide to Swaps' Impact on Investment Compliance

Almost two years ago, The Asset Managers Forum began the Swaps Initiative to reduce operational risk for all market participants. As part of this initiative, the Swaps Compliance sub-committee took on the daunting task of determining best practices for evaluating the impact of swap exposures on typical investment restrictions. The best practice recommendations were discussed in-depth at an AMF roundtable luncheon in March. In an effort to provide further education to its members, the AMF has worked with swaps vendors to develop a profile of the products and services they offer. These swaps products and services help automate the post-trade processing of OTC derivative transactions.
